Building Skills of the Future

To meet growing demand for reskilling and upskilling, Synchrony and the Synchrony Foundation will offer career training and certifications in fast-growing fields such as cybersecurity, software engineering, data science, and UX design. Partnering with local governments, schools, and skills-credentialing organizations, we’re helping prepare students and individuals seeking to reskill or reenter the workforce.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Experience starts here.

Our training isn’t about stuffing a bunch of facts and processes into your brain and quizzing you on them. Instead, we focus on developing how you think, collaborate and lead.

THE LEARNING CENTER

The Learning Center develops skillsets through in person and virtual classroom training, online learning modules, and through multimedia engagement. The Center also features tools and resources from our partnerships with Harvard Business Publishing (including Spark), getAbstract, and Pryor Learning Solutions.

LEADERSHIP LEARNING

Learning at Synchrony is dedicated to providing training experiences that are both practical and enriching. Courses are experience-based and tied to real-world situations that equip you with the knowledge and skills to be more effective and efficient as you lead yourself and others. You can apply the lessons you’ll learn virtually and in the classroom in both your work and personal life.

STEP PROGRAM

The Skills Training for Evolving Professionals (STEP) Program is a flexible system designed to develop key talent. It builds core competencies in time management, coaching and process improvement while developing knowledge through self-paced coursework, job shadowing, rotation assignments and mentoring.

SKILLS FORWARD

We know staying adaptable in today’s changing environment is key to professional development. With our skills education program we reimburse employees up to $9,000 USD per year for skill-based certifications to help attain new skills and  address skill gaps critical to the future. We have expanded our generous tuition reimbursement benefit to include a non-degree option through a sponsored certification program focused on areas like Agile, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Science, Python, User Experience and more.

BLP

Our Business Leadership Program is a two-year, three-rotation program for recent graduates in one of ten functional tracks. It nurtures potential Synchrony leaders by building expertise through functional, customer and community experiences.

We offer a 401(k) savings plan, that begins Day 1, with a 3% company contribution regardless if you add funds to it and up to a 4% match of what you choose to contribute.
