I’M CHANGING WHAT’S POSSIBLE BY…
Growing in my career and being my authentic self.
JARED HUNTER
Digital Technology Manager
LONGWOOD, FL
I started with Synchrony as a Frontline Collections Representative, thinking it would be a temporary job while I looked for something that was right for me. Little did I know, Synchrony and the culture of the people and the work I was doing was captivating. It inspired me and made me want to not only stay but grow. My next role within Synchrony was a specialist position, where during that time I entered into a program called STEP – a development program for leadership. In this program, I was prepared for my first managerial role as a Customer Service Manager. Along the way, I also took advantage of the tuition reimbursement program and earned my master’s in organizational management. This trajectory helped me get to where I am today, as a Digital Technology Manager with Synchrony, and I am excited about what the future holds for me here.
Synchrony is truly an extended family for me. What’s so awesome about this company is that it doesn’t matter what department you work in, or what level you are, everyone is super accepting and willing to help one another, making sure we are getting the job done for our customers and clients.
As an openly gay man, it has been extremely beneficial to come to work as be myself. We have multiple Diversity Networks, including the LGBT+ network, which I’m the leader for in central Florida where I live. All our networks are an outlet for you to express yourself at work and give back to the community.
