I have always had a passion for people since developing professionally through my education at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, so it was only natural that I started my career with Synchrony as a Customer Service Representative in 2018.
GROWING HER CAREER
From the time I was hired, I made it known that I wanted to grow my career here. Speaking up about my career goals and being my own advocate helped me gain support and resources from my manager. I moved my career forward by becoming a Disputes Specialist followed by a Team Manager for the Auto Network, where I led a team of employees with exceptional metrics while also balancing multiple process improvement projects.
In 2020, I was selected for the Corporate Correspondence Manager Rotational Role. For me, these rotational opportunities were crucial to my career growth here because they provided an opportunity to expand my knowledge of the company to become a more well-rounded employee.
Becoming a manager for the first time with Synchrony (and during a pandemic!), I surprised myself! I strived to be agile in my thinking, adapted to leading a virtual team for the first time, thought creatively about strategic solutions, and delivered meaningful results despite the challenges.
FAVORITE SYNCHRONY COMMITMENT
My favorite commitment is “Relate and Inspire.” It’s extremely important to me to connect and engage with others on a deeper level. I love to build honest relationships with my team and co-workers so we can trust each other, be authentic, and foster a culture of honesty.
MY ADVICE
Be unapologetically yourself, advocate for every part of yourself, and demand personal greatness by whatever measure YOU create. Never let someone tell you who you are or aren’t. YOU are in the driver’s seat for your own life.
FAVORITE THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK
I am passionate about reading, writing, cooking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors. I love to hike, fish, kayak, and soak in all the beauty of the Black Hills in South Dakota!
