I’M CHANGING WHAT’S POSSIBLE BY…
Becoming a leader

“My ambition is to become a leader at Synchrony.”
I am creative, collaborative and love helping others. To me, these are critical tools that I have worked to develop and am proud of. With the help of my mentors, managers and peers, I am confident I will reach my ambitions while empowering others at Synchrony.
I started my career with Synchrony as a Bilingual Client Services Representative for CareCredit and Payment Solutions. I have big ideas and am driven to be a part of something bigger than myself. From the beginning of my time with the company, I have found that this was supported and encouraged through various methods, including an employee feedback program that allows us to make Synchrony an even better place to work.
I began with Synchrony shortly after having completed my bachelor’s degree. Having that tool to further accelerate my growth, I became a Universal Fraud Representative in the Fraud department. Without a background in Fraud, I accepted this challenge head on.
My next great opportunity was becoming an Empowerment Ambassador. In that role I was responsible for promoting and supporting the voice and vision of customers and employees alike. I built meaningful professional relationships and became a strong advocate.
I was the first Bilingual Performance Specialist in Client Services. In this role I leveraged my knowledge and skills acquired through my previous positions to help identify opportunities for improvement in our processes and procedures. Today, I lead a team of cross-site and cross-functional members and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in my department.
“My passion is to coach and empower others in a collaborative and supportive culture.”
I see my work at Synchrony as more than a job – it’s a career. That’s why I launched and grew the Synchrony Pen Pal Program to promote cultural exchange and knowledge sharing throughout the world. Additionally, I developed various trainings, collaborated on Career Week events and participate in groups such as the Hispanic Network+ Community Committee and the African American Network+. I’m constantly networking and meeting new people, including our executive leadership.
I have learned the power of combined expertise, drive and teamwork. I find success in what we can accomplish as a team rather than what I can do alone; I’ve had several roles throughout my career at Synchrony and have learned and benefited so much from the culture that is open, honest and supportive – for everyone.
The best advice I can offer to someone who is considering a career with Synchrony is to not be afraid of failure and to try something new, because as long as we can learn from our experiences, we become better versions of ourselves.
